SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: Marketing Coordinator

WAGE & HOUR CLASSIFICATION:  Full-Time, Exempt, Salary 

EXPECTED PAY RANGE: $50,000-$60,000 annually 


SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

The Marketing Manager leads the day-to-day execution of Spirit Mountain’s marketing across winter and summer operations, events, weddings, food and beverage, programming, and guest experiences. Working with the General Manager and leadership team, this hands-on role turns organizational priorities into engaging content and coordinated campaigns that strengthen the Spirit Mountain brand and support attendance and revenue goals.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create, capture, edit, and publish engaging photo, video, graphic, and written content across social media, email, website, and other marketing channels. 
  • Actively manage social media platforms, including scheduling, audience engagement, messages, comments, and timely operational updates. 
  • Coordinate seasonal campaigns, promotions, events, and communications with Indoor Operations, Outdoor Operations, Sales, Food and Beverage, Programming, and Guest Services. 
  • Maintain a consistent and accurate brand voice, visual identity, and message across all channels. 
  • Develop and manage marketing calendars based on operational priorities, revenue goals, and the established marketing framework. 
  • Execute digital advertising, email marketing, website updates, and other promotional initiatives. 
  • Monitor campaign performance, engagement, website activity, and other key metrics, using results to improve future efforts. 
  • Coordinate outside vendors, media partners and community partners as needed.  
  • Assist with developing and managing the marketing budget and recommend how available resources can be used effectively. 
  • Provide direction to seasonal or part-time brand ambassadors, photographers, content creators, or other marketing support. 
  • Attend events and operational activities to capture content, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Two years of marketing, communications, social media, content creation, or related experience. 
  • Demonstrated ability to create effective photo, video, graphic, and written content. 
  • Experience managing social media and digital marketing platforms. 
  • Proficiency with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design and editing tools. 
  • Strong writing, organization, communication, and project-management skills. 
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating priorities across multiple departments. 
  • Ability to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays based on operational and event needs.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field. 
  • Experience in recreation, tourism, hospitality, events, or destination marketing. 
  • Familiarity with website content-management systems, email-marketing platforms, Meta Business Suite, and Google Analytics. 
  • Familiarity with Spirit Mountain or the outdoor-recreation industry.
