Position Summary

Rock Island Lake Club is seeking a creative, organized, and results-driven Social Media Specialist to elevate our online presence and showcase the unforgettable wedding experiences that make our venue one of New Jersey’s premier lakefront wedding destinations. This role will be responsible for creating engaging content, growing brand awareness, managing social media platforms, and helping convert prospective couples into venue tours and bookings. Rock Island Lake Club is a weddings-only venue that hosts one wedding per day, providing an exceptional and personalized experience for every couple.

Key ResponsibilitiesContent Creation & Storytelling
  • Capture and create high-quality photo, video, and short-form content during weddings, venue tours, styled shoots, and special events.
  • Develop engaging Instagram Reels, TikTok videos, Stories, Pinterest content, and Facebook posts.
  • Highlight venue features, wedding trends, behind-the-scenes moments, staff spotlights, and real wedding stories.
  • Coordinate with photographers, videographers, planners, and vendors to source and share content.
Social Media Management
  • Manage and maintain all social media channels, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, and emerging platforms.
  • Plan and execute a content calendar aligned with marketing goals and booking objectives.
  • Monitor engagement, respond to comments and messages, and foster an active online community.
  • Stay current with social media trends, platform updates, and best practices.
Brand Growth & Marketing
  • Develop campaigns that increase reach, engagement, venue tours, and inquiries.
  • Collaborate with the sales and coordination teams to promote open houses, tours, special events, and venue offerings.
  • Assist with influencer partnerships, vendor collaborations, and user-generated content initiatives.
  • Support email marketing campaigns and website content updates as needed.
