Southern New Hampshire University is currently seeking Student Workers to work on our setup team to help set up event spaces on campus. Event Setup: Assist in the setup and arrangement of event spaces, including staging, seating, tables, and signage, following the provided event plans by the Event Operations Coordinator.

Logistics Support: Assist with the transportation, loading, unloading, and placement of event equipment, materials, and supplies.

Venue Preparation: Help prepare the event venue by ensuring proper placement of amenities, such as tables, chairs, and trash receptacles.

Team Coordination: Collaborate effectively with other members of the Student Event Setup Crew and university staff to ensure timely completion of setup tasks and smooth event execution.

Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot any technical or logistical issues that may arise during the setup process, promptly reporting them to the Event Operations Coordinator or the appropriate staff member.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure the well-being of event attendees, staff, and yourself during setup and teardown activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate day program at SNHU.

  • Students with Federal Work-Study may be prioritized

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Physical stamina and ability to lift and carry heavy objects up to 70lbs.

  • Ability to work nights and weekends is required.

  • Familiarity with audiovisual equipment and basic technical knowledge is a plus, but not required.

Work Hours:

The office is open 8:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday for office hours. Setup hours will differ each week including weekend hours. All shifts will be given depending on student's class schedule.

Compensation

The hourly pay range for this position is $13.00 - $15.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations.
