As a wedding coordinator assistant, you help with the planning of a wedding including any related event, such as a rehearsal dinner, the reception itself, or anything else your client requests. You may help respond to inquiries, create and manage a schedule, coordinate deliveries with each vendor, handle any additional requests from the bride or groom, and otherwise assist the primary coordinator. Some details of this job vary based on the size of the wedding and the company you work for. If the company handles particularly large weddings, then you may work alongside several other assistants. Employers also advertise this job as an “assistant wedding planner.”
