Job Summary

The IT Team Leader – Artificial Intelligence (AI) is responsible for leading the design, development, implementation, and support of AI-powered solutions that enable business innovation, operational efficiency, and improved decision-making across the organization. This role partners with business stakeholders to identify opportunities where artificial intelligence can create measurable value and translate those opportunities into scalable technology solutions. The Team Leader provides technical leadership for AI-focused developers, analysts, and other technology professionals while overseeing the delivery, support, and continuous improvement of AI solutions and platforms across their lifecycle. This position plays a key role in advancing the organization's AI capabilities and fostering the responsible adoption of emerging AI technologies.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery, support, and continuous improvement of AI solutions, generative AI capabilities, intelligent automation, and AI-powered business tools that support organizational objectives.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and product owners to translate approved AI opportunities into delivered solutions.
  • Design, implement, and oversee scalable AI solutions, ensuring alignment with established architecture, security, and governance standards.
  • Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentorship to AI-focused developers, analysts, and technology professionals, establishing best practices, fostering collaboration, and promoting continuous learning.
  • Manage the lifecycle of AI initiatives, including planning, development, implementation, support, performance monitoring, and ongoing optimization to maximize business value.
  • Administer, support, and continuously improve AI platforms and capabilities, ensuring reliable, secure, scalable, and cost-effective operation.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in Information Systems/Technology or Related
  • 5 years of development experience
  • Experience in all phases of the full cycle development process
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of the business applications and processes

Pay Range Minimum:  $104,083.72 

Pay Range Maximum:  $169,135.98 

The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs.  At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
