What is a website redesign?

A Website Redesign job involves updating the visual appearance, structure, and functionality of an existing website to improve user experience, performance, and alignment with current branding or business goals. This process may include changes to the site’s layout, navigation, content, and backend technology. The goal is to create a more modern, responsive, and user-friendly website that meets client objectives and industry standards.

What are some of the most common challenges faced during a website redesign project?

One of the most common challenges in website redesign is balancing the needs of various stakeholders while ensuring a cohesive user experience. You may encounter tight project deadlines, unexpected technical roadblocks, or difficulty migrating legacy content and features to a new platform. Effective communication with cross-functional teams—including marketing, IT, and content creators—can help address these issues early. Staying organized and adaptable is key to managing these challenges and delivering an improved website that meets both user expectations and business objectives.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the website redesign position, and why are they important?

To thrive in Website Redesign, a strong background in web design, user experience (UX), and front-end development is essential, often supported by a degree in design, computer science, or a related field. Fluency with design tools (such as Adobe XD or Figma), content management systems (like WordPress or Drupal), and familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is typically required. Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills set outstanding candidates apart. These abilities are crucial for crafting modern, user-friendly websites that meet both client requirements and organizational goals.

Job description

Let’s be honest: This is not an easy job.

Our clients operate in industrial, technical, and highly specialized markets. Their products are sophisticated, their organizations are layered, and their expectations are high.

This role plays a central part in helping them navigate those challenges.

At Luxid, we help ambitious, results-obsessed companies turn complex stories into powerful growth strategies through branding, marketing strategy, demand generation, digital experiences, and integrated marketing programs. That means stepping into challenging marketing situations, asking better questions, aligning internal teams, and delivering programs that actually move their businesses forward.

We’re looking for someone who thrives in that environment.

Someone who can build trust with demanding clients, bring clarity to difficult situations, lead teams through ambiguity, and push work from “good enough” to truly impactful.

If you want a quiet account maintenance job, this isn’t it. If you want to solve hard problems with smart people and build meaningful client relationships, you’ll fit right in.

About Luxid

Luxid is a global, forward-thinking integrated marketing agency committed to our values: driven, trailblazing, resourceful, and sincere. We’re a team of creative thinkers, strategists, media specialists, data analysts, technologists, writers, designers, filmmakers, and virtual world builders.

  • Our work sits at the intersection of creativity, data, and technology.
  • This role sits at the intersection of client strategy, marketing leadership, and program execution.

Many of our clients operate in industries where products are highly technical, buyers are specialized, and sales cycles are long. Helping them succeed requires thoughtful strategy, clear storytelling, strong digital experiences, and marketing programs that connect closely with sales and real customer insights.

Just as importantly, Luxidians genuinely enjoy working together. We take the work seriously, support each other’s growth, and believe solving meaningful problems with talented people is one of the best parts of the job.

What You’ll Own

This role is ideal for someone who likes combining strategic thinking with hands‑on involvement in multifaceted marketing programs. You’ll own:

Strategic Client Leadership
  • Serve as a trusted advisor for assigned client relationships
  • Help clients translate business goals into clear marketing approaches
  • Lead planning discussions and strategic marketing conversations
  • Present recommendations and campaign directions to client stakeholders
Integrated Marketing Programs
  • Guide marketing initiatives that connect brand strategy, digital experience, full‑funnel media programs, marketing technology, and data‑driven insights
  • Ensure marketing programs align with measurable business outcomes
  • Collaborate with teams responsible for brand, digital campaigns, content, and customer journey development
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with strategists, creatives, digital marketers, and analysts
  • Provide direction that helps teams execute complex marketing programs effectively
  • Ensure the right expertise is engaged at the right times throughout client initiatives
Program Oversight
  • Maintain visibility into project scopes, timelines, and deliverables
  • Work closely with account coordinators and specialists to keep initiatives moving forward
  • Help anticipate risks, remove obstacles, and keep programs aligned with strategy
Client Growth
  • Identify opportunities to expand marketing initiatives within client relationships
  • Support proposal development and new business conversations when appropriate
Team Development
  • Mentor junior team members and support their professional growth
  • Share insights and best practices that strengthen Luxid’s client services approach
Types of Work You’ll Lead

Our clients’ marketing challenges require connecting strategy, creativity, data, and technology to drive measurable growth.

Examples of the kinds of initiatives you may lead include:

  • Brand Positioning & Narrative Development Helping organizations clarify their market positioning and messaging - translating complex products, services, or technologies into compelling brand narratives that resonate with buyers.
  • Integrated Demand Generation Programs Designing and guiding multichannel marketing programs that combine digital campaigns, content marketing, website experiences, and marketing automation to support long buying cycles.
  • Website & Digital Experience Initiatives Collaborating with design and development teams to improve digital presence - from strategic website redesigns to optimizing digital customer journeys that support engagement and conversion.
  • Marketing Technology & Sales Alignment Helping facilitate clients’ marketing strategies with CRM platforms, marketing automation systems, and sales processes to improve lead management, pipeline visibility, and campaign effectiveness.
  • Data-Driven Marketing Optimization Working with analytics specialists to translate performance data into strategic insights - identifying opportunities to improve campaign performance, customer engagement, and marketing ROI.
Who Thrives in This Role

The people who do well in this role tend to bring a mix of strategic thinking, strong communication skills, and comfort navigating complex marketing environments.

They’re often the kind of marketer who:

  • Has 8-12+ years working in marketing, often in an agency environment
  • Is comfortable leading strategic conversations with clients and helping them clarify business priorities
  • Communicates complex marketing ideas clearly and confidently, whether in meetings, presentations, or written recommendations
  • Builds empathetic, trusting relationships with clients and colleagues and can navigate multiple stakeholders with different perspectives
  • Enjoys connecting strategy to execution, staying close enough to the work to ensure ideas translate into real results
  • Thinks in terms of business outcomes, not just marketing activities
  • Works well with cross‑functional teams, including strategists, creatives, analysts, and other specialists
  • Stays organized and thoughtful when managing multiple moving parts across complex programs
  • Is curious, analytical, and comfortable asking the questions that help clarify difficult marketing challenges
  • Expertly uses tools like Excel and PowerPoint to structure thinking and communicate ideas clearly, and isn’t intimidated by learning new tools or technologies along the way
What We Offer You

Yes, Luxidians take the work seriously - but without taking ourselves too seriously. We value curiosity, collaboration, and a healthy sense of humor, and we believe great work happens when talented people enjoy working together. Here you’ll find:

  • A great team of highly skilled, supportive, and experienced professionals
  • A diverse, international, English‑speaking, inclusive workplace where people support each other’s success
  • Professional development and continuous learning opportunities as you grow in your career
  • A flexible, hybrid work environment
