Job description

Registered Nurse

These positions will be float pool staff. The staff will be expected to float throughout the facility, including the Emergency Department. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend. There are no on-call requirements. Travelers are expected to work if one major holiday falls within their assignment period. If two major holidays occur during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work both. If three major holidays occur, the traveler should work two of the holidays. Full compliance is required to start on time. If not compliant, the start date may be pushed back by two weeks due to the orientation schedule. Local candidates are accepted at the same rate. Previous charge experience is preferred. Experience with arterial line management and care of ventilated patients is required. Staff must manage isolation precautions and PPE effectively. Management of dysrhythmias and IV starting and maintenance are essential skills. All travelers should possess knowledge of titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips. The facility provides interdisciplinary support for patient care. The patient demographic includes a variety of critical care cases. Travel experience is highly regarded for this role. Candidates must be flexible to float within facility and scope of practice as needed.
