Job Description
JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for assisting the store management in daily management responsibilities. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:โ€ข Provide excellent customer service and train employees in customer / contributor service skills.โ€ข Maintain attractive store presentation by proper colorization, cleanliness, store layout, signage and displays.โ€ข Assist in preparation of daily reports.โ€ข Open and close cash registers, performing tasks such as counting money, separating charge slips, GC vouchers, balancing cash drawers, and making deposits.โ€ข Prepare and make bank deposits. โ€ข Assist in sales and processing of items.โ€ข Reviews and is familiar with Goodwill Industries of Central OK safety policies, programs and procedures. Adheres to all safety rules, regulations and safety codes, and attends safety training sessions and necessary safety meetings.โ€ข Conducts store monthly safety inspections in conjunction with Store Manager to identify any potential hazards.โ€ข Maintain safety log and coordinates safety drills.โ€ข Punctual & dependable attendance is required.โ€ข Attends training as required.โ€ข Abide by the policies and procedures as set forth by management.ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:โ€ข Perform other duties and projects as required by management.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:โ€ข High School degree or equivalent preferred.โ€ข Prior retail experience or customer service/ relations experience preferred.โ€ข 6 months supervisory experience preferred.โ€ข Must have current OK Driver License, pass MVR and have current auto insuranceKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:โ€ข Good verbal and written communication skills.โ€ข Good interpersonal skills: able to work well with a wide range of people.โ€ข Good math skillsโ€ข Demonstrate dependability through good attendance and adherence to timelines and schedules.โ€ข Good problem-solving skills.โ€ข Strong sense of customer service.
