DMC Test Systems Engineers provide test & measurement solutions to a wide range of clients across industries, supporting applications including R&D, validation, and manufacturing test. Adapting quickly to innovative technologies and absorbing specific industry knowledge, they provide custom software engineering, hardware system design, problem solving, and guidance throughout all phases of projects. Working both independently and in teams, Test Systems Engineers contribute to project management, technical sales, and project delivery while communicating effectively with customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities
Engineer Level I (0-3 years relevant experience) 

  • Designs software, hardware, and integrated systems that exceed customer requirements 
  • Develops robust applications aligned with DMC programming standards & best practices 
  • Designs portions of electrical and mechanical assemblies using off-the-shelf and custom hardware 
  • Supports project planning, system architecture design, testing, commissioning, and documentation  
  • Troubleshoots and debugs software and hardware systems  
  • Collaborates with project teams and customers regarding scope and timeline 

Engineer Level II (3-5 years relevant experience) 
Includes all Engineering Level I responsibilities 

  • Performs programming and engineering at all stages of projects  
  • Takes ownership of integrated systems or subsystems, combining software and hardware skills 
  • Mentors and technically advises new team members  
  • Develops and maintains customer and partner relationships to support repeat business and new opportunities 

Requirements

Engineer Level I (0-3 years relevant experience)

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering, or related field 
  • Minimum GPA of 3.4 
  • Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship 
  • Experience working with hardware, electronics, and instrumentation (such as power supplies, DAQ devices, cameras, sensors, actuators, etc.) 
  • Experience with programming (such as Python, C#, C++, LabVIEW) 
  • Quickly learns new technologies and applies established patterns and best practices 
  • Knowledge of systems engineering principles and complex system design 
  • Ability to manage time across multiple projects 
  • Strong written/oral communication and technical writing skills 

Engineer Level II (3-5 years relevant experience) 
Includes all Engineering Level I requirements

  • Experience designing and implementing measurement, DAQ, or control systems 
  • Knowledge of current test and measurement hardware and devices 
  • Ability to specify hardware and components based on system requirements 
  • Proficiency in software design, implementation, and documentation 
  • Experience with project planning and system architecture design 
  • Demonstrated success delivering project-based engineering solutions for customers 

Compensation
Starting compensation is based on industry, relevant experience and location standards.   

  • Engineer Level I (0-3 years relevant experience): $87,500 - $97,500 
  • Engineer Level II (3-5+ years relevant experience): $97,500 - $115,000 
  • Engineering Levels III & Above (5-10 years relevant experience): $115,000 - $165,000+
