Description
U.S. Citizenship Required. Ability to qualify for a US Department of Defense security clearance required.
This is an on-site position located in Goleta, CA.
Toyon is seeking individuals capable of developing applications and libraries for signal processing, data fusion, asset control, and modeling and simulation in C++. This software engineering position is an opportunity to work on a collaborative development team with the guidance and collaboration of senior staff members. Motivation and drive to implement robust software systems with intuitive user interfaces are required. Qualified candidates will have demonstrated software engineering capabilities and success working in a cooperative environment with configuration management and version control tools.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have the following experience, skills, and ambition:
  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in computer science, engineering, physics, or math
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience
  • Advanced software development in C++
  • Excellent thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Physics, Math, or Engineering education background
  • Ability to work collaboratively to conceptualize and implement effective solutions to challenging technical problems
  • Experience with coding and testing numerical methods

The annual pay range for the C++ Software Engineer position is $120,000 to $200,000.
The posted pay range values provide the candidate with guidance on annual base compensation for the position, at a full time level of effort, exclusive of overtime, bonus, and benefits-related compensation, over a range of qualifications that may fit hiring objectives. Toyon Research Corporation will consider the individual candidate’s education, work experience, applicable knowledge, skills and training, among other factors, when preparing an offer of employment.
