Job description

The Content Marketing Writer is a dedicated writing role within the Bostik Industrial Adhesives Marketing Communications Team in the Americas. Reporting to the Senior Content Marketing Manager, this position supports Bostik's three industrial adhesive business units and works closely with Marketing & Digital Communications team members, market leaders, product managers, technical experts, and subject matter experts across the organization.

This role is responsible for developing clear, compelling, audience-focused content that supports business objectives across multiple industrial adhesive and sealant markets. The Content Marketing Writer will use strong writing, editing, storytelling, and content strategy skills to create content for varied audiences and channels, including blogs, brochures, guidebooks, case studies, newsletters, sales collateral, webinar scripts, email marketing, website content, and other marketing communications materials.

The ideal candidate is a skilled writer who enjoys learning technical subject matter and translating complex industrial information into content that is accurate, engaging, and easy to understand. This person will collaborate with market and technical experts to understand customer needs, applications, solutions, and product value, then develop content that resonates with specific audience groups and supports the customer journey.

The successful candidate will be a proactive, highly organized, and detail-oriented content writer who takes ownership of assignments, collaborates effectively across teams, and creates high quality content that engages audiences, supports business priorities, and elevates Bostik's brand presence. 

Marketing Content Writing - 90%

Develop and apply a deep understanding of assigned business units, market priorities, marketing communications support plans, audience needs, applications, solutions, and related product information.

Conduct research on adhesive technologies, market applications, industry trends, customer needs, and competitive or technical topics to strengthen content accuracy and relevance.

Collaborate with subject matter experts, marketing communications team members, product managers, business stakeholders, and/or the Senior Marketing Content Manager to gather input, define objectives, and support content planning.

Transform complex technical adhesive and sealant information into clear, compelling, audience-focused content that supports marketing, sales, product positioning, and business objectives.

Write, edit, and refine marketing and technical content across multiple industrial adhesive and sealant markets, including but not limited to flyers, brochures, sell sheets, technical documents, webinar scripts, email copy, website content, landing pages, blog articles, case studies, and other marketing collateral.

Outline, draft, revise, and deliver assigned content projects on time and in alignment with project objectives, audience needs, channel requirements, and desired outcomes.

Tailor content for different audience types and stages of the customer journey, including OEMs, converters, end users, distributors, technical decision-makers, and commercial stakeholders.

Apply brand, voice, tone, messaging, and communication guidelines consistently across all content deliverables, while supporting rebranding initiatives by reviewing and updating existing materials as needed.

Collaborate with the Digital Marketing team to research and incorporate relevant keywords and SEO best practices into digital and website content to support organic search performance.

Deliver polished, publication-ready content that is clear, engaging, technically sound, appropriately positioned, and requires minimal edits from reviewers. 

Content Writing Continuous Improvement - 10%

Maintain current knowledge of content marketing, copywriting, technical writing, SEO, and digital content best practices.

Research content marketing trends and recommend opportunities to improve content quality, effectiveness, efficiency, and audience engagement.

Identify ongoing writing improvement opportunities, including relevant training, courses, tools, templates, processes, or best practices.

Support continuous improvement of core content development processes, including content intake, planning, drafting, review, editing, and final delivery. 

Min Years of Experience:

2-4 years of professional writing experience in content marketing, copywriting, technical writing, marketing communications, journalism, or a related field required.

3-5 years of experience writing for B2B, industrial, manufacturing, chemical, adhesive/sealant, or other technical industries preferred.

Education and area of focus:

Bachelor's degree in marketing communications, technical writing, digital marketing, journalism, English, marketing, communications, or a related field.

Certifications/Trainings:

Content Marketing World courses taken is ideal

Competencies Knowledge Skills & Abilities (KSAs)

Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, grammar, and storytelling skills, with the ability to produce clear, compelling, publication-ready content.

Ability to translate technical and complex information into audience focused marketing content that supports business, sales, and communication objectives.

Experience writing for B2B audiences; industrial, manufacturing, chemical, adhesive/sealant, or technical writing experience preferred.

Ability to write across multiple formats, including blogs, brochures, case studies, newsletters, sales collateral, webinar scripts, email, website, and other marketing communications materials.

Understanding of content strategy, audience targeting, SEO best practices, messaging development, and the customer journey.

Strong research, critical thinking, and interviewing skills, especially when gathering input from subject matter experts and technical stakeholders.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including marketing, market, product, technical, and business stakeholders.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and shifting priorities.

Ability to work independently, take ownership of assigned projects, and complete work with minimal supervision.

Ability to follow and apply brand, voice, tone, messaging, and communication guidelines consistently.

  Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Physical Demands/Working Condition: 

Must be located within continental U.S. and able to travel 2-3x/year
