Job description

WEB CONTENT MANAGER
We are currently seeking a highly skilled candidate with a minimum of 4 years’ experience who will serve as a Web Content Manager to support a Federal Government client for a variety of communication products. Must pass a background check for security clearance, be a U.S. citizen, and must be able to work on site in Washington, DC with a hybrid schedule. 

Job Duties / Responsibilities: 
  • Monitor, review, and respond to web communications services requests.
  • Set up, change or remove web content manager permissions.
  • Test, monitor, and optimize content to maximize engagement and demand.
  • Identify and resolve accessibility issues.
  • Support efforts to conduct web site audits to develop an existing map.
  • Identify existing pages that are obsolete and archive/unpublish them.
  • Serve as back up support for emerging leadership web publications.
  • Help create redirects for new web pages.
  • Identify areas of modernization and/or process improvement related to web design and migration.
  • Develop and manage content on SharePoint.
  • Review website content, provide monthly user data reports, and recommend website updates, revisions, and archiving outdated web content related to improving user experience. 
  • Develop new or update existing content. This includes developing or updating content that incorporates links to relevant content from across the client’s websites, based on metadata and subject matter.
  • Design and implement subsites/microsites, webpages, and other features.
  • Recommend the development of and provide ongoing support for search engine optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with Section 508 and improve the accessibility of content.
 Skills & Requirements:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, media, or related field, and at least four (4 years of relevant experience, or at least two (2) years of experience with a Master’s degree or higher in business, communications, media, or related field.
  • Ability to write content and edit web pages using plain language.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills are desired.
  • Ability to learn quickly, adapt, organize, and prioritize work to a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines. 
  • Must be highly organized with a strong attention to detail.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must pass background check for security clearanceÂ
