Job Title: Marketing and Communications Coordinator
Reports To: Principal / Head of School
Position Summary
The Marketing and Communications Coordinator is responsible for promoting the mission, values, and programs of Spiritus Sanctus Academy to current and prospective families, alumni, donors, and the broader community. This individual develops and implements strategic marketing initiatives that strengthen the school's reputation, increase student enrollment, foster community engagement, and celebrate the life of the school.

Key Responsibilities
Marketing and Enrollment Support
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing plan to support student recruitment and retention goals.
  • Create compelling content that highlights the unique strengths, programs, and culture of the school.
  • Collaborate with school leadership to promote admissions events, open houses, and enrollment campaigns.
  • Monitor enrollment trends and recommend marketing strategies to reach prospective families.

Communications and Storytelling
  • Gather and share stories that showcase student learning, faculty excellence, school traditions, alumni accomplishments and community impact.
  • Write and edit newsletters, website content, press releases, and other communications materials.
  • Maintain a consistent voice and brand identity across all school communications.
  • Coordinate photography and videography to document school events and activities.

Digital and Social Media Management
  • Manage and update the school's website to ensure content is current, accurate, and engaging.
  • Develop and maintain a social media presence that reflects the school's mission and values.
  • Create digital marketing campaigns, including email communications and online advertising, as appropriate.
  • Track engagement metrics and use data to improve communication effectiveness, implementing the new use of a CRM.

Community and Donor Engagement
  • Promote opportunities for parent involvement and community partnerships.
  • Support alumni relations by developing communications that encourage ongoing connection with the school.
  • Assist with fundraising initiatives by creating donor communications, campaign materials, and stewardship pieces.
  • Work collaboratively with development staff, volunteers, and school leadership to strengthen relationships with supporters.

Event Promotion and Coordination
  • Publicize school events through multiple communication channels.
  • Assist with planning and marketing special events, celebrations, and community outreach activities.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field preferred.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Proficiency with social media platforms, website content management systems, and common design tools.
  • Photography, graphic design, and video editing skills are desirable.
  • Understanding of and appreciation for the mission and values of the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist and of Spiritus Sanctus Academy
