Job description

Job Title: Project Coordinator

Reports To: Project Administrator

FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-exempt

Employment Status: Full-time

Work Location: Hybrid - ability to work from home with weekly in-office requirements

Effective Date: August 2026

Overview:

Healthy Birth Day, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the prevention of stillbirth, is seeking a full-time Community Impact Manager to join our team.

The Project Coordinator supports the successful implementation of Healthy Birth Day, Inc. partnership initiatives by coordinating outreach activities, project deliverables, and reporting efforts. Working closely with the Project Administrator, this role helps implement state partnership activities, including mailings, toolkits, stakeholder communications, webinars, and community engagement efforts. The Project Coordinator provides essential project coordination and serves as an initial point of contact for prospective state community partners, responding to basic inquiries and outreach opportunities, and ensuring appropriate follow-up by team members.

Key Responsibilities:

State Partner Implementation and Outreach Support

  • Coordinate mailings, toolkits, and outreach campaigns
  • Collaborate with community volunteers and partner organizations to support the implementation of toolkits and initiatives
  • Support webinars and external communications to stakeholders
  • Collect key state outreach leads, conduct initial outreach, answer basic informational questions, and assign follow-up actions to the appropriate team members

Project Coordination


  • Accomplish deliverables by project timelines and workflows determined by the Project Administrator in Monday.com
  • Support updates to materials, translations, and illustrations projects

Reporting and Data Support

  • Produce data reports using Salesforce, Tableau, and Canva
  • Input ROI of campaigns, webinars, and deliverables using Monday.com
  • Compile SDOH data monthly for quarterly reports into spreadsheets

Other duties as assigned


Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Highly organized with strong project management and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with project management and reporting tools (e.g., Monday.com, Salesforce, Tableau, Canva)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presentations, webinars, and partner outreach
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple states and teams
  • Committed to improving maternal and infant health outcomes through collaborative and strategic outreach

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Communications, Business, Social Sciences, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and work experience (3–5 years) will also be considered.
  • 2 - 3 years experience in project or program coordination, or community outreach highly desired.
  • Experience in Maternal Child Health is a benefit but not required.

  • Primarily a sedentary role requiring extended periods of sitting at a computer.
  • Occasional travel to community events.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods and work at a computer.
  • Some lifting may be required for materials, toolkits, or event setup (up to 25 lbs).
  • Participation in events may involve standing for extended periods.

Travel: There may be some limited travel required within the state of Iowa.

Location: Clive, IA with weekly in office requirements but ability to work hybrid after 3 months of employment

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, hourly
