Samsung SDS, is rapidly expanding our footprint in North America and is looking for a self-motivated programmer, with some experience in Java mobile development, general administrative tasks. Responsibilities will include working closely with remote teams, Solutions Architects, Technical Leads, and Leadership. Will support secure mobile and IoT proof of concepts, pilots and projects. Candidates must have the ability to assist in the development of elegant code and comprehensive unit tests while comprehending complex business/system requirements and architecture. Be a team player and take responsibility for joint team deliverables.
Qualifications
Requirements/Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Programming or related field
• 1-2 years of hands-on experience in Java/J2EE technologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Knowledge of design patterns, SOLID principles, particularly Dependency Injection
• Spring Frameworks
• Experience with Oracle, Microsoft SQL, or similar database technologies
• Experience with the following web technologies: Tomcat (required), JSON and XML.
• Experience using standard development tools such as Eclipse.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with other developers and business client
Preferred:
• Frontend/Web development experience, with HTML 5, CSS
• Experience with JavaScript, Ajax, jQuery, Backbone.s
• Excellent understanding of Microsoft Office suite of products
• Experience in iOS Application Development
• Flexible to travel if required
