Digital Analytics Specialist - Scottsdale, AZ
The Analytics Specialist is responsible for the accuracy, quality, relevance, and availability of client web analytics platform data & reporting that enables and informs data-driven tactical and strategic digital marketing decisions. This role is responsible for auditing client analytics platform implementation on websites and mobile apps, making recommendations to improve implementation alignment with best practices and relevance to client business objectives, the generation and presentation of internal and client-facing reporting, and the troubleshooting and resolution of data collection and reporting issues.Experience in one or more major analytics platforms, in all aspects of web analytics (planning, implementation, configuration, troubleshooting, and reporting), is required.

  • Audit analytics platform implementation on client websites and mobile apps to evaluate implementation, adherence to best practices, and alignment with client business objective
  • Identify, prioritize, document, and implement strategic and tactical recommendations for data collection & analytics platform improvement
  • Create detailed technical documentation for implementation of website and tracking code recommendations; implement recommendations via tag management platform, or provide implementation support to development/IT teams; QA implementation to verify functionality, identify any issues/incongruities and provide steps to resolution
  • Troubleshoot and resolve analytics data collection & reporting issues/inconsistencies by identifying and providing documented solutions for problems related to tracking code, implementation, website code/functionality, channel/traffic source identification, URL tagging, platform configuration, etc.
  • Create and present scheduled and ad-hoc reporting to internal and external stakeholders: this includes the identification and acquisition of relevant data, data analysis to identify trends and generate both strategic and tactical insights, and data visualization for effective presentation of findings
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the alignment of digital analytics platforms and the measurement of business objectives and proximity to/representation of actual value
  • Identify performance metrics, KPIs, user segments, and key user interactions/behaviors critical to measure in order to demonstrate success in achieving client business objectives
  • Present analytics engagement objectives, measurement strategy, implementation plan, and detailed technical documentation to a wide range of client and internal stakeholders
  • Support performance teams' initiatives by ensuring client performance metrics are relevant to business objectives, identifying opportunities to improve measurement and/or visibility of initiative performance, providing ad-hoc data support and report creation, troubleshooting tracking and/or reporting, creating tracking code and implementation documentation, recommending analytics feature usage and reporting that supports, informs, and provides insight into the outcome of strategic and tactical initiatives
