What is a web project manager?

A web project manager leads a team of designers, developers, and testers in creating a website based on client specifications. Your job duties are to ensure all work is being done properly and in a timely fashion. To be successful in this position, you need to have an understanding of web design and development, two of the most prominent aspects of this job. You also need qualifications in web design to learn the skills necessary, and a bachelor’s degree in web development, web design, or a similar field.

What does a web project manager do?

A Web Project Manager oversees the planning, execution, and delivery of web-based projects, such as website redesigns or new web application launches. They coordinate between various teams, including designers, developers, and stakeholders, to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. Responsibilities often include creating project timelines, managing resources, tracking progress, and communicating updates to all parties involved. Their goal is to ensure a smooth project workflow and successful launch of the web product.
