Job description

POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies for Everence regional offices and other Everence products and services, to strategic audiences. Utilizes multi-channel, multi-touch marketing approaches across customer decision journeys to help Everence clients and prospects integrate their faith and values with their financial decisions, reinforce the Everence brand, and advance the company’s corporate objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  1. Provide marketing expertise to assigned regions, encompassing all products and services (in coordination with the appropriate management and/or product marketing managers). This includes the development, administration, and monitoring of competitive analyses, strategic marketing plans, and key performance metrics.
  2. Focus on integrating the Everence brand, delivering meaningful customer experiences (through the utilization of market research, digital analytics, market data, customer personas, etc.), and generating and nurturing marketing and sales leads.
  3. Work with the team to create an annual sales and distribution marketing plan, then execute activities that support the direction and objectives.
  4. Manage relationships with key partners to execute the most effective distribution tactics and avenues within the assigned region(s).
  5. Monitor, create and update appropriate web and digital content, in alignment with Everence digital and content marketing strategies.
  6. Coordinate and monitor activities for marketing projects in assigned areas to:
    1. Develop and monitor schedules to meet agreed-upon deadlines.
    2. Coordinate project details to ensure accurate and effective completion.
    3. Gain approvals (internal, external, compliance/regulatory, etc.).
  7. Represent Everence in professional associations and inter-agency committees as required.
  8. Continue to grow in awareness and knowledge of Everence, its products and services, its clients and their customer experiences, the church, and current marketing trends, and practices.
  9. Be familiar with and uphold the Everence writing, design and digital standards.
  10. Other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations or related field

Experience:

  1. Three or more years of proven marketing and/or communications experience, including creative work (such as writing or design) and marketing plan development and implementation preferred
  2. In-depth experience in planning and executing marketing initiatives and tactics across traditional and digital channels
  3. Website content management experience a plus
  4. Financial services and/or insurance experience preferred

Skills and Abilities:

  1. Strong understanding of lead generation best practices
  2. Ability to take initiative, organize diverse tasks, work independently, and integrate and pursue corporate strategy
  3. Proven ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  4. Effectively work as part of a team and lead cross-functional teams
  5. Effectively interact with various parties across and outside the organization
  6. Proven ability to successfully manage relationships with a variety of personalities
  7. Clearly communicate information and ideas to others verbally and in writing; effective public speaking and presentation skills a plus
  8. Ability to manage a budget
  9. Computer literacy, specifically with Microsoft Office programs and web content management
  10. Knowledge of Anabaptist, and related, church values extremely helpful
  11. More or less 15% of overnight travel away from home
  12. Alignment in supporting the Everence mission of empowering financial well-being for faith-inspired living
