Job description

We're looking for an experienced Membership & Communications Manager to produce high-quality email and other communications materials and create innovative membership recruitment and retention strategies for two large dynamic international organizations. Essential Job Functions
  • Marketing and Communications: Produce high-quality email and other communications materials, including content generation, graphics, and editing of collected copy from members; serve as staff liaison to the Communications Committees, guiding initiatives and executing plans; manage client e-newsletters and editorial timelines; manage podcast production and promotion; track campaign results to identify trends; manage website and social media.
  • Membership: Create innovative membership retention strategies, including handling membership surveys and renewal communications/campaigns; manage new member initiatives; maintain the annual timeline; track overall membership data; serve as staff liaison to Membership Committee; serve as main point of contact for registration, member communications, and inquiries; manage chapters.
  • Conferences and Education: Promote conferences and online educational sessions through email; manage online educational course, website, social media; assist with the abstract process, serving as main point of contact for customer service; provide online registration set up and management; handle vendor communications; responsible for production and promotion of podcasts. Plan, administer, and promote twice-monthly webinars; coordinate speakers and host online sessions.
  • Web presence management: Monitor client websites for dated information and inaccuracy. Make updates as appropriate. Run analytical reports, track trends, make suggestions for improvement.
  • Database management: Maintain hygienic databases, enter new contacts, monitor processes, run reports and contribute to improvements.
  • Any other duties or projects as requested. Some travel, including possibly international travel, required. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Skills / Requirements Must:
  • Have Bachelorโ€™s Degree with three years of experience in a communications/marketing environment
  • Be proactive & ambitious, nimble & tenacious, creatively gutsy, take pride in excellence and be open to continuous evolution, both personally and professionally
  • Have the ability to enthusiastically learn to build upon established best practices and pitch in at any level
  • Be able to learn to contribute to ongoing systems development and suggest improvements for efficiency
  • Have demonstrated work ethic, great communication skills (both written and spoken)
  • Enjoy being thoroughly organized
  • Be a self-starter, adaptable to ever-changing environments and situations
