Serra Laser & Waterjet is a precision manufacturing company specializing in laser cutting, waterjet cutting, CNC machining, and custom fabrication. We are investing in technology and automation to improve our digital presence, streamline operations, and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Position Overview

Serra Laser & Waterjet is seeking a skilled API Developer / Website Developer with experience in AI technologies to help build and maintain our websites, customer portals, and business automation systems. This role will be responsible for developing modern web applications, integrating APIs with our internal systems, and implementing AI-powered tools that improve customer interactions and business efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and improve the Serra Laser & Waterjet website and web applications.
  • Design and build secure RESTful APIs for internal and customer-facing systems.
  • Integrate CRM, ERP, quoting, inventory, and other third-party platforms.
  • Develop AI-powered features such as customer support chatbots, quoting assistants, document processing, and workflow automation.
  • Optimize website performance, security, SEO, and user experience.
  • Collaborate with management to identify opportunities for automation and process improvements.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and continuously improve existing applications.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in web development and API development.
  • Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern frameworks such as React or Next.js.
  • Experience with Node.js or similar backend technologies.
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs and API integrations.
  • Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases.
  • Familiarity with Git and version control.

Preferred Qualifications
