Summary of Position: The role of an Summer Intern Assistant is to share life with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and other Assistants in relationships of mutuality, to support the individuals in daily life activities, and to live fully the identity and mission of L’Arche in the context of an intentional faith community.

Requirements

  • Can embrace the mission and values of L'Arche
  • Must be 18 or older
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to provide transportation
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Eligibility to work in the United States
  • Must be available to work 12 full weeks between May and August

All required training will be provided.
