Job Summary

Key Safety's Sales Representative is pivotal in driving the growth of Key Safety by spearheading direct sales initiatives across all product lines, including safety equipment, branded apparel, and promotional products. This role is responsible for actively seeking opportunities, engaging with new clients and deepening relationships with existing clients to enhance revenue opportunities. The Sales Representative will be actively engaged in the development and execution of Key Safety’s sales strategy and maintains overall responsibility for the client relationship.


Sales Strategy Execution

  • Achieve agreed upon sales and revenue targets.
  • Compile list of prospective customers for use as sales leads based on information from cold calls, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, web sites, and other sources.
  • Schedule, prepare and deliver effective sales presentations
  • Create and deliver quality sales proposals and price quotes.
  • Travel throughout the assigned territory to call on existing and prospective clients to solicit orders.
  • Identify industry trends and collect and analyze data to better understand consumer behavior.
  • Ensure clear communication with Sales Manager and Key Safety team on current and expected sales activity.

Account Management

  • Coordinate the onboarding of new clients in partnership with Operations team members
  • Create quality sales orders.
  • Maintain relationships with assigned accounts and organically grow those accounts with new products and services.
  • Maintain the highest possible level of customer service to ensure 95% customer retention.
  • Work to improve the client experience, communicating proactively, resolving problems, and preventing additional issues by improving processes.
  • Share client feedback with other Key Safety personnel to ensure continued service quality.
  • Work to resolve challenges associated with orders and delivery.

Administration / Territory Management

  • Create weekly and daily work plans to optimize territory coverage
  • Maintain CRM records of all sales activity
  • Create and submit expense reports as scheduled.

Marketing

  • Actively participate in trade shows and community events as a representative of the company, driving Key Safety’s brand as a trusted partner.
  • Participate in the development of Key Safety’s marketing and communication strategy.
  • Identify opportunities for promotional events designed to bring greater awareness to Key Safety products.
  • Maintain awareness of competitor activity and identify opportunities to displace them when possible.

Vendor Management

  • Actively participate in the identification and development of partnerships with new vendors.
  • Ensure clear communication with vendor and client on all customization orders.

Other

  • Monitors delivery schedule and manages client expectations based on anticipated delivery date
  • Maintain accurate and sufficient documentation within Key Safety systems (Outlook, QuickBooks, etc.).
Requirements:

Education

High school degree required. Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.


Experience

Five or more years of related work experience required.
