Location: Madison, WI (Mostly Remote – Must reside in WI or relocate before start)

Position Overview

The State of Wisconsin DCF is seeking a Full Stack .NET Developer to support multiple high-profile web application initiatives. The developer will join an existing team working on enterprise modernization projects, including:

  • Migration to a unified authentication platform using Okta

  • Implementation of secure authentication flows leveraging OIDC

  • Development of new and existing .NET MVC / .NET 8 applications using JavaScript, Blazor, and Kendo UI

  • Enhancements to legacy modernized applications built using ASP.NET MVC (.NET) and SQL Server


Responsibilities
  • Analyze requirements, design solutions, and develop front-end & server-side components.

  • Develop secure authentication flows using OIDC, access tokens, and Okta IAM integrations.

  • Participate in interactive code reviews, TDD, and quality engineering practices.

  • Build and enhance ASP.NET MVC and Web API applications using C#.

  • Develop responsive UI using HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, Kendo UI.

  • Create and optimize custom SQL queries for SQL Server, DB2, and Oracle.

  • Provide production support and troubleshoot issues in post-production environments.

  • Produce clear and concise technical documentation.

  • Collaborate closely with the team, ensuring transparent communication and technical best practices.

  • Participate in the full SDLC and adhere to project management guidelines.

  • Apply security best practices for authentication, authorization, and threat mitigation.
