Job description

We are seeking a System Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in the IoT and/or physical security technology industries, have in-depth experience with networking and IT services, and have hands-on experience across the entire software lifecyclefrom presales and deployment to support and client training. This role demands a deep understanding of device integration, networking, technical documentation, and troubleshooting, as well as a passion for delivering high-quality, client-focused solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deployments & Installs: Lead and execute installation and configuration of IPFusion software, ensuring seamless integration with devices & systems.
  • Support: Provide advanced technical support to resolve complex issues, working closely with development and engineering teams. Be a part of the On-Call team to handle issues which may arise outside of business hours.
  • Quality Assurance (QA): Assist in conducting thorough testing of IPFusion software to ensure products meet quality and performance standards, as well as client requirements.
  • Client Training: Develop and deliver training sessions to clients, ensuring they are proficient in using IPFusion software.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including installation guides, knowledge base articles, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Networking & IT: Manage in-house networking and services including Azure Cloud & Amazon Web Services.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of best practices.

Key Skills and Attributes:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of IoT & physical security technologies and protocols.
  • Strong understanding of network architectures and implementations.
  • Demonstrated experience with installing, configuring, documenting, testing, training, and implementing software applications and systems.
  • Experience with Azure and Amazon Cloud Services.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel within Canada and the United States.

Preferred Skills and Attributes:

  • Experience with industrial protocols such as BACnet and Modbus.
  • Experience with programming Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
  • Experience with Auth0.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.

Certifications:

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
