Job description

Wilson & Company is looking for a Civil Engineering intern focused on Civil Engineering to join our Omaha office. As an Intern in our office:

  • You will perform hands-on work to apply your classroom experience to real-world projects and help you envision your future career.

  • You'll be an active member of our team, working for our clients on projects with our most experienced engineers.

  • You'll be introduced to Wilson & Company's culture, helping you evaluate our firm as a future career choice.

  • You will solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate with partners to produce our clients' visions for the future built environment.

This is a year-round paid opportunity that could lead to full-time employment upon graduation!

Required Skills:

  • Civil engineering student with an interest in a civil-works career, such as highway engineering, municipal roadway engineering, and drainage engineering. You will receive significant hands-on and tutorial training on a number of these as an employee.

  • Highly responsible and dependable.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Strong problem-solving skills.

  • Positive attitude and an impeccable work ethic.

  • Ability to work with a team under the direct supervision of a Project Engineer.

Required Experience:

  • Current Civil engineering student.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, primarily Outlook, Word and Excel.

  • Ability to commute to/from school to the office, and work in an office environment. No remote work anticipated.

  • Capacity to manage and maintain a sustainable balance between school, internship, and personal demands.
