Responsibilities

FM is hiring a Identity Services Specialist Co-Op's to join our team for the Spring 2025 school term, Full-time for 6 months starting January 2025! As an FM Identity Services Specialist Co-op, you will be a member of the Identity and Directory Services Team. This team is responsible for handling Microsoft Active Directory and associated technologies. You will perform day to day operations for identity and directory services technologies in support of enterprise identity, authentication, and authorization services (such as Microsoft AD, Identity Federation, PKI,MFA).


These operational activities include supervising ticket queues, responding to incident tickets received from the service desk, processing change requests and resolving technology issues. Day to day support activities could include:


  • Setting up users with Multi Factor Authentication (MFA)

  • Troubleshooting access to Password Management application

  • Account issues vary from restoring accounts, fixing issues with Single Sign On (SSO)

  • Tackle Active Directory Domain Services

  • Tackle Active Directory Federation Services

  • Fix Active Directory Certificate Services


Qualifications


Schedule Must be able to work full time 37.5 hours a week for 6 months. Hours: 9am to 5pm EST Monday- Friday
Education Enrolled in a Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, MIS or related degree program
Technical Skills


  • Strong team players who can work independently when needed and have a proven understanding of basic concepts in at least one technology field (i.e., Networking, Systems Administration, End-User Support, Development, etc.)

  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems (Server 2012/19, etc.)

  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Active Directory

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure

  • Experience with PowerShell is a plus!

  • Have strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Organized, detail-oriented and analytical

  • Able to generate creative ideas to solve problems and improve work methods

  • Able to demonstrate high personal work standards and a sense of urgency about results
