Job description

Web Design InternThe Web Design Intern supports the development, maintenance, and enhancement of 26Health's digital presence. This position provides practical experience in website design, user experience (UX), accessibility, search engine optimization (SEO), content management, and digital communications. The intern will assist with ensuring that the organization's website remains visually appealing, user-friendly, accessible, and aligned with 26Health's brand and mission.

Duties and responsibilitiesAssist with maintaining, updating, and optimizing website content to ensure accuracy, usability, and brand consistency.

Support website redesign projects, landing pages, digital campaigns, and other web-based initiatives.

Create and maintain digital assets, including webpage graphics, banners, images, and visual content.

Conduct website testing, quality assurance reviews, and user experience evaluations to identify opportunities for improvement.

Assist with website accessibility, SEO, analytics monitoring, and performance optimization efforts.

Collaborate with Marketing and IT teams to troubleshoot website issues, improve functionality, and support online forms and digital resources.

Research website trends, emerging technologies, and best practices while supporting ongoing website enhancements.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/ExperienceCurrently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, Computer Science, Information Technology, Digital Media, Marketing, or a related field.

Knowledge of website design principles, user experience (UX), responsive web design, and content management systems such as WordPress, Squarespace, or Wix.

Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, SEO, website accessibility standards, and web development concepts preferred.

Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or similar design and content creation tools preferred.

Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Physical requirementsMay require the occasional ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
