TEAM LEAD

Hopeworks is a nonprofit that has been working for over 25 years with young professionals across the East Coast utilizing an advanced training curriculum in Website Design/Development, GIS, RCM, and AI. Hopeworks works with youth 17-26 to get back in school, earn permanent jobs, and achieve their dreams.

Hopeworksโ€™ unique combination of technical training, real business experience, and trauma-informed coaching and academic counseling has led to extraordinary results.

Training alone is not enough to provide these results. Success for our young people also requires real-world experience. To provide this experience, Hopeworks runs real businesses, providing technology solutions for businesses in Web Design and Hosting, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Artificial Intelligence, and Revenue Cycle Management that not only help businesses achieve their goals, but also train and employ youth into high-demand, high-wage careers.


Position & Responsibilities

The primary task of the Team Lead is to assist in all aspects of the operation of the business divisions under the direction of the Senior Business Leads and CBO.

The role of the Team Lead requires a person with an eye for detail, a willingness to learn new technologies, a history of reliability, experience in trauma-informed care, and the ability to relate well to peers, visitors, supporters, and staff members.

The ideal candidate must display excellent oral skills with demonstrated professionalism and organizational abilities. A candidate for this position must be able to work in a varied, fast-paced environment. Flexibility and tolerance is a necessity.

Specific tasks include:

  • Cultivate a supportive community by welcoming and orienting new Interns.
  • Train and monitor Interns as they work on client projects.
  • Utilize Google Calendar to manage all necessary training and preparation sessions for Interns.
  • Support the Senior Business Leads in completing Supervisory sessions.
  • Support Interns in relevant business skills.
  • Monitor and track progress data to the Senior Business Leads.
  • Develop, lead, and support technical and professional development.
  • Other duties may be assigned as required.


Requirements

  • Completion of the technical training curriculum offered to the Business Divisions (Google Suite, Figma, HTML/CSS/Javascript, Web Design and Development (WordPress, OpenSource CMS alternatives, code), Web Client work, GIS) and new programs as Hopeworks deems appropriate.
  • Proficient in applications and software such as G-Suite, Codepen, WordPress, and Figma and others.
  • The ability to communicate and teach non-technical users is a must.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Train Interns on technical programming and lead ongoing coaching on Intern relationships
