Job description

Overview
The Research Communications and Marketing team is seeking a creative and motivated graphic designer to help us tell the stories of Auburn's research impact in a visually compelling way. The ideal candidate will be able to efficiently create marketing materials, social media graphics, presentations, flyers, digital signage, promotional items, ads, email marketing, and more following direction and brand guidelines.
We need a collaborative team player who can communicate clearly and solve problems. Bonus points will be given to candidates who also have photo/video experience, social media writing skills, web experience, and attention to detail.
WORK HOURS: Approximately 20 hours per week; schedule flexible during standard business hours; hydbrid on-site at the Research and Innovation Center and some remote
Responsibilities
  • Create social media graphics, presentations, flyers, digital signage, promotional items, ads, email marketing, and more
  • Be able to adapt templates and follow brand guidelines
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, including but not limited to website maintenance, social media writing, posting, and analytics, media relations, newsletters, etc.
  • Collaborate with the Communications and Marketing team on content planning and creative projects

Qualifications
Currently enrolled student at Auburn University, in good academic standing
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Coursework or experience in journalism, communications, English, public relations, marketing or a related field
  • Experience managing social media platforms
  • Experience in photography and/or videography
  • Experience using Cascade CMS or similar web content platforms
  • Interest in marketing, communications or web design
