Job description

Passumpsic Bank is seeking an enthusiastic individual to lead the Bank's in-house execution for our web-based platforms and digital experiences. This role sits at the intersection of Technology, Marketing, Digital Banking and customer experience, with responsibility for maintaining, improving and supporting our public-facing and internal informational websites.

This is not a traditional software development role focused on building applications from scratch. Instead, the Web Technologist leverages modern Content Management Systems (CMS), low-code tools and practical front-end technologies to rapidly deliver secure, high-quality digital solutions.

The right candidate serves as the technical execution partner for Marketing and Digital Experience, translating business needs and customer experience improvements into functional web pages, digital tools, interface updates, and internal resources. While Marketing retains control of the brand, messaging and content strategy, the Web Technologist owns the technical implementation, structure, usability and ongoing maintenance of the bank’s platforms.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Communications, Information Technology, Digital Media, or a related field; OR equivalent combination of education and practical experience. 2+ years of professional experience managing website content, digital platforms, or creating complex technical documentation. Demonstrated, hands-on experience administrating Content Management Systems (CMS), specifically WordPress.

Exceptional technical writing and communication skills, with the proven ability to translate complex IT constraints into plain language for Marketing and business stakeholders. The ability to write clear, structured instructions and prompts to effectively leverage AI tools for coding and logic building. A strong eye for digital layout, user experience (UX) consistency, and adherence to ADA/WCAG web accessibility standards.

We are a workplace that highly values the contributions of our people.  We believe if we work together we can accomplish amazing feats in our community.   To this end we recruit bright, energetic and talented people to be members of our team.  In return, we offer a dynamic workplace which presents opportunities for advancement and learning new skills.  We truly believe that when our employees succeed, everyone wins.

With a full line of financial products and services, as well as expert financial advice, we're a proven partner in the prosperity of our communities.  We focus on improving the world around us with a sincere commitment to our customers' success.
