Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a Web Developer Support Specialist to development, handle maintenance, testing, and enhancement of the JWEB Criminal application. JWEB Criminal is an integrated system used to document criminal justice processes within Harris County and contains data shared by multiple county justice and law enforcement agencies.
Responsibilities:
  • The Web Developer Support Specialist will support enhancement requests, bug fixes, maintenance items, and application development efforts related to criminal justice matters.
  • This role will work closely with development team members, business users, stakeholders, and agency representatives to analyze requirements, validate user stories, support application functionality, and assist with ongoing system improvements.
  • Support the JWEB Criminal application.
  • Perform analysis, testing, and development for application enhancements and bug fixes.
  • Coordinate with the development team on existing backlog items.
  • Support items currently in the maintenance phase.
  • Validate requirements documents and user stories.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of enhancement requests from county and law enforcement agencies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues related to criminal justice processes.
  • Participate in project-related meetings, ceremonies, and team discussions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to understand business needs and system requirements.
  • Provide direct customer interaction and support as needed.
  • Assist with batch report development and support as needed.
  • Work with team members to ensure application changes are properly analyzed, developed, tested, and implemented.
  • Support documentation of application functionality, requirements, testing results, and issue resolution.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's in IT, Computer Science, or Information Systems
  • Experience: 4–7 years as a Application Support Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, Technical Support Analyst and or Systems Analyst preferred.
  • Required skills: Enterprise application support, Testing/UAT, Agile/Scrum, Issue troubleshooting and User stories & backlog management.
