Seeing to direct the safe crossing at intersections with and without a signal and depth perception to judge approaching vehicle's closeness to an intersection. Hearing to be aware of children and traffic. Possess arm strength to hold sign up so that it can be seen by approaching traffic.

Reaching overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally. Dexterity of hands and fingers to hold stop sign. Requires speaking skills in order to communicate with students.

HAZARDS: Traffic hazards. Exposure to fumes and oil/grease. Exposure to noise.

Exposure to extreme weather conditions. Walking on uneven ground and wet or slippery surfaces. KNOWLEDGE OF: Traffic regulations, especially those pertaining to pedestrians.

Candidates who possess a valid and current CA teaching credential OR that possess a Bachelor's Degree AND have passed the CBEST will be placed at Step 6 of the salary range designated for this classification. ABILITY TO: Learn and apply traffic regulations, especially those pertaining to pedestrians
