Job description

Are you interested in gaining hands-on experience in the financial services industry while working alongside experienced professionals? The Washington Trust Company is excited to offer a full-time paid internship opportunity in Wealth Management Operations.  This position will support the daily activities of our Wealth Management Operations team, helping to ensure the efficient processing of client transactions, account maintenance, reporting, and operational workflows.  This internship will provide a unique opportunity to gain exposure to the functions that support exceptional client service and the delivery of wealth management solutions while building valuable skills in a dynamic and collaborative environment. 

Job Summary & Responsibilities: 

The internship will provide the unique opportunity to:

  • Immerse yourself in the daily responsibilities, projects, and initiatives of the department
  • Collaborate with seasoned professionals
  • Interact with team members and senior leadership
  • Gain on-the-job exposure to different areas of the business
  • Engage in a variety of training topics and opportunities
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to Wealth Management Operations

Qualifications:

  • College graduate, or pursuing a degree, in Finance, Accounting, or similar business-related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (especially Excel)
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong language/communication skills
  • Desire to gain experience from Wealth Management focused learning opportunities
  • Must be available full-time (40 hours/week during business hours)
  • Must have reliable transportation to Westerly, Rhode Island (this is an on-site internship)

Compensation & Benefits:  The good-faith estimated base salary range for this position is $39,520 - $41,600 annually. Actual compensation will be based on factors including experience, skills, certifications, education, and training.
