Youth Soccer Coach (Summer Camp) Wave Camps FC| Paid Coaching Role

San Diego Wave FC Soccer Camps is hiring Youth Soccer Coaches for our 2026 Summer Camps across San Diego County.

This is a paid summer camp soccer coach position working with kids ages 412 in a fun, high-energy, and supportive environment inspired by the values of San Diego Wave FCempowerment, teamwork, and excellence.

As a Youth Soccer Coach, you will lead campers through engaging drills, games, and skill development activities while helping them build confidence, make positive choices, and develop a lifelong love of soccer. We provide the soccer camp curriculum, equipment, and trainingyou bring the energy, leadership, and passion for working with kids.

What Youll Do (Soccer Coach Responsibilities):
  • Lead daily youth soccer camp activities, drills, and games

  • Teach fundamental soccer skills including passing, shooting, dribbling, and teamwork

  • Create a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for all campers

  • Motivate and engage campers ages 412 throughout the day

  • Provide individualized coaching and encouragement

  • Execute the San Diego Wave Camps curriculum

  • Collaborate with fellow coaches and Site Directors

  • Serve as a role model by demonstrating leadership, integrity, and enthusiasm

Who Were Looking For:
  • Experience working with children (ages 412 preferred)

  • Experience as a soccer player, soccer coach, or athlete (high school level or higher preferred)

  • Passion for youth development through sports

  • Strong communication and leadership skills

  • Positive, energetic, and team-oriented personality

  • Reliable and committed for the duration of camp sessions

  • Ability to make learning soccer fun and engaging

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Available MondayFriday for ~8 hours per day

  • Able to commit to 47 weeks during summer 2026

  • Camp season runs from June 22, 2026 August 7, 2026

  • Ability to travel to camp locations including Carmel Valley, Eastlake, Point Loma, Encinitas, La Jolla, and Carlsbad with reliable transportation

  • Must pass a background check

Compensation (Based on Experience):
  • Professional Educator: $23.50/hour (1+ year teaching experience or teaching certification required)

  • Experienced Coach: $20.00/hour (2+ years coaching experience required)

  • College Student / Recent Graduate: $18.00/hour
