Mancan Staffing is hiring an experienced Injection Mold Machine Operator for a well-established instrumentation cable supplier in Akron!
Monday-Friday 6:00 AM-2:30 PM
Starting at $19.50/hr (higher pay may be available based on proven experience)
We're looking for someone with:
At least 5 years of mold machine operating experience
The ability to read blueprints
To set-up and operate injection mold machine producing parts necessary for product assembly; assist with production as directed.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Possess a basic understanding and knowledge of quality management and control systems.
Initiate corrective/preventative action to prevent a products non-conformance.
Weight and measure parts as needed utilizing weight devices of the industry.
Prepare electrical wire/connectors for tinning.
Assemble and install hardware; and solder wires to various sized plugs and connectors.
Handle epoxy cement, chemicals, hand tools and machines; knives and cutters in a safe manner.
Change/purge and reload molding material hoppers.
Mix Colorant to Material using the ration for mix as required.
Follow safety procedures and standard molding practices.
Perform product assembly, inspection tests and package product.
Utilize calipers and other measuring devices of the industry.
Utilize the part numbering system currently in use.
Read and understand shop orders, drawings and tolerances currently in use.
Follow written and oral instructions; read molding work instructions.
Set up and operate injection-molding machine utilizing tools of the trade including but not limited to hand tools for set up.
Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred.
Previous factory, technical, trade or high school shop training or equivalent.
Manual dexterity is necessary to handle and operate various mold machines and components.
Previous experience or training in machine use or set-up desirable.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions both oral and written essential.
Manual dexterity is necessary to handle and operate various assembly machines and components.
Basic arithmetic functions such as addition, subtraction, counting, sorting, and calculating essential.
