This position is eligible for a $500.00 hiring/retention bonus!
$100 Monthly Perfect Attendance Award
Off at noon on FRIDAYS!
Pay range: $1950-$23.00, based on experience
Hours: M-Th 5:45am-3:15pm, F 5:45am-12:00pm
Summary: Operator of electromechanical equipment relating to electronic circuit board assembly. Lead by example and ensure all preventive measures have been taken to produce the highest quality products in the area. It is also your responsibility to lead employees and assure all productivity and quality expectations are achieved.
Responsibilities/ Principal Duties:
Planning
  • Lead by example. Must demonstrate positive attitude and communication skills. Excellent attendance is a must.
  • Review all products within the cell (Selective and Wave Solder) and update production schedules daily. Prioritize assemblies by date and/or complication of the process, along with input from the Production Manager.
  • Assure all manufacturing order build quantities are verified for accuracy and that jobs are built complete in one batch unless directed differently by the Production Manager.
  • Program machines as required to perform soldering application to IPC-A-610 acceptability standards.
  • Ensure programs are running accurately for 2nd shift start time.
  • Monitor cell output and report order status to the Production Manager daily. Accurately predict cell output within 1/2 day.
  • Communicate as needed with all cell leaders to keep production on schedule and achieve our goal of 100% on time delivery.
  • Communicate staffing needs to Production Manager and work together to staff the cell appropriately.
  • Communicate daily with the Assembly Supervisor for planning of workflow coming to your cell. Coordinate staffing requirements to run the wave solder machine to assure schedules are maintained.
  • Continual Improvement
  • Continually develop skills and provide training to cell employees where needed.
  • Improve quality in all areas of the Machine Solder processes. Report any quality issues to Production and Quality Manager.
  • Monitor all rejected boards to identify failure trends and adjust where necessary and or contact maintenance and machine repair to assist when issues cannot be resolved within 30 minutes.
  • Monitor and document all new assembly issues.
  • Perform light regularly scheduled maintenance on ERSA and Wave Solder equipment as needed.
Production
  • Assist employees with verification and startups on all production orders within the cell.
  • Perform time studies. Log run times and communicate target times to employees for the product they are working on and hold them accountable for their numbers.
  • Recommend process improvement where needed.
  • If a lot is rejected at inspection, the sort will be performed by the responsible cell.
  • Initiate downtime log when production has stopped or reached unacceptable level of quality.
  • Identity and quarantine defective product for containment of the defective assemblies. Assure product is tagged appropriately.
  • Assure all product is tagged appropriately with job cards and that shop travelers are filled out completely.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Housekeeping
  • Maintain a clean and orderly cell. (Production Manager and Machine Solder Lead will walk the cell weekly

  • Cooperative and dependable, highly motivated, and trustworthy
  • Respects and works effectively with fellow team members.
  • Will notify team leader if team is not following quality processes.
  • Will present new ideas and improvements to production manager.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience: Two year’s experience on electromechanical or CNC type equipment.
Physical / Cognitive Requirements: All work is performed in a manufacturing environment. The position requires prolonged standing.
Equipment: Knowledge of and skills in the use of selective soldering equipment, wave soldering, etc.
Work Environment: Job functions will be performed at the machine lines.
This position requires a pre-employment background check and drug test.
