The Regional Port Drayage Truck Driver is responsible for transporting containers and freight within a defined regional area, focusing on local routes within the state. This role involves handling various cargo types, including standard containers, refrigerated goods, and general freight, while ensuring safe, timely delivery. The driver performs routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to maintain operational readiness, strictly adhering to safety regulations and schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Transport containers and freight regionally within the local state area
  • Navigate routes efficiently to meet daily and weekly trip schedules
  • Conduct vehicle inspections and perform basic daily maintenance checks
  • Secure cargo properly for safe transport, including refrigerated goods
  • Adhere to safety regulations and compliance standards at all times
  • Manage fuel consumption effectively during trips
  • Handle documentation related to cargo and delivery processes
  • Interact professionally with customers during deliveries
  • Maintain equipment in operational condition through routine checks

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of truck driving experience
  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
