Job description

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Salesman to join our team at a Serra Laser. As a Salesman, you will be responsible for driving sales and generating new business opportunities for our Laser and Waterjet cutting Job shop. You will work closely with potential clients, providing them with information about our capabilities, developing tailored solutions, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.

Responsibilities:

  1. Generate new leads and identify potential clients interested in laser cutting services.
  2. Contact and engage with prospective clients via various channels, including phone calls, emails, and in-person meetings.
  3. Build and maintain relationships with existing clients, understanding their evolving needs and providing excellent customer service.
  4. Educate clients about the benefits and advantages of laser cutting, waterjet cutting, bending sheet metal, laser welding and explaining the technical aspects and capabilities of our equipment.
  5. Collaborate with the production team to develop accurate and competitive quotes based on client specifications and project requirements.
  6. Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, ensuring that terms and conditions are favorable to both parties.
  7. Keep abreast of industry trends, competitors, and market conditions to identify opportunities for business growth and stay ahead of the competition.
  8. Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to the overall revenue growth of the company.
  9. Provide regular reports and updates on sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline status to the management team.

Qualifications:

  1. Proven track record of success in sales, preferably in a similar industry.
  2. In-depth knowledge of CNC laser cutting processes, materials, and applications. We are willing to train the right individual. 
  3. Strong understanding of manufacturing and fabrication industries, with an ability to comprehend technical drawings and specifications.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients at all levels of the organization.
  5. Ability to listen actively, identify customer needs, and propose customized solutions.
  6. Self-motivated and target-driven, with a demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  7. Exceptional negotiation and closing skills, with a focus on building long-term client relationships.
  8. Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools to manage leads, track activities, and analyze sales performance.
  9. Experiance with Paperless Parts and Jobboss is a PLUS

Serra Laser & Waterjet has the capability of 2D Laser, 3D Laser, Tube Laser, 3D & 2D Waterjet cutting. CNC Milling, Bending/Forming and Welding services are also available. We are experts at cutting preformed shapes, tubes, channel, angle iron and rework of painted parts. We can also laser cut pre-punched parts, Hoffman box modifies – which can be very cost effective when dealing with complex outside patterns.
