As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Mobile Patrol in Sparks, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Security Officer at a utilities location, you will conduct routine unarmed patrols, operate a vehicle as part of a primarily driving post, monitor access points, and help deter security-related incidents. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with visitors and personnel, and support a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and the public while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies at utility facilities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and water utility infrastructure to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access to designated areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate activity, incident, and access-control records.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Report maintenance concerns, hazards, suspicious activity, and other security-related issues to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
