Job description

The effective Water Transfer Supervisor leads day-to-day execution within the following system processes: installation, operation, troubleshooting, response and removal. The Supervisor is responsible for daily reporting and administrative tasks associated with the system processes, i.e., leading shift change meetings / JSAs, scheduling assistance, accurate time entries, training, being the on-site, primary point of contact for customers for either day or night shift.
โ€ข Operates per Shalestone SPCC policy and in compliance with environmental and customer expectations
โ€ข Takes ownership of the safety and performance of the crew from shop-to-shop
โ€ข Leads inspection initiatives for PPE, rigging, crew trucks, trailers, equipment, etc.
โ€ข Leads daily shift change meetings
โ€ข Properly prepares the crew for inclement weather and winter operations
โ€ข Operates and troubleshoots field equipment. Trains Transfer Techs and Pump Operators to do the same.
โ€ข Identifies talent and develops more Supervisors
โ€ข Leads, on-site, critical operations (Dewatering, Pressure Testing, Rig-Up, Start-Up, Shut-Down, Rig-Down)
โ€ข Ensure equipment is operated safely and cared for
โ€ข Ensure trailers are loaded and transported in compliance with DOT regulations
โ€ข Ensure company vehicles are operated safely and are cared for
โ€ข Provides team members with clear expectations and holds them accountable
โ€ข Identify talent or underperformance and communicate to operations management
โ€ข Effectively communicates asset repair, maintenance and performance issues
โ€ข Ensure team members clock in and out daily, accurately
โ€ข Completes, collects and reviews daily paperwork and turns into operations management
โ€ข Supervise water transfer operations per Shalestone expectations and standard operating procedures
โ€ข Support projects locally and in outlying basins (travel required unless negotiated otherwise)
โ€ข Follows incident and spill reporting procedures
โ€ข Responsible for the inventory and organization of trucks, trailers, tools, equipment, Shalestone yard, site locations, etc.
โ€ข Ensure team members clock in and out daily, accurately
โ€ข Completes required forms in KPA and Samsara
โ€ข Supervise on-site sub-contractors - ensure compliance
โ€ข Support projects locally and in outlying basins (travel required unless negotiated otherwise)
โ€ข Function as primary liaison with company men for shift being supervised
โ€ข Prepares and plans for each shift and the needs of these shifts
โ€ข Conducts other duties and tasks assigned
Non-Negotiables:
โ€ข Pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
โ€ข Valid driver's license and meets requirements to be insurable in company vehicle
โ€ข Willing to travel and supervise both day and night shifts
โ€ข Proven experience supervising or managing a crew / multiple crews
โ€ข Provide multiple references from previous or current supervisors / managers
Important Considerations:
โ€ข Multiple years of water transfer supervisory or management experience
โ€ข Prefers to be hands-on.
โ€ข You can perform and train - most tasks related to deploying, operating, troubleshooting and rigging down a water system.
โ€ข Personal drive - pursues high standards and reward for achieving desired performance.
