About this Opportunity:

This position maintains operator productivity by efficiently distributing materials throughout the value stream. The CNC Water Spider ensures product is inspected & ensures Product ID and Traceability is maintained.



Responsibilities:

  • Monitor demand and react to KanBan signals to ensure smooth product flow while ensuring correct parts are flowing to the correct machines using FIFO.
  • If certified, train operators using TWI methodology as requested/required.
  • Monitor and manage inventory supply.
  • Ensure product ID and traceability is maintained by accurately filling out required paperwork (Followers, Inspection Ticket, etc.).
  • Perform gauging and visual inspections per M.O.I.โ€™s/Work Instructions when required; verify gauges are correct and calibrated prior to starting every operation.
  • Maintain value stream structure.
  • Assist with line clearance.
  • Notify appropriate personnel when PMโ€™s or repairs are needed.
  • Operate various machining equipment such as air presses, milling machines, drilling machines, laser welders and laser cutters per M.O.I.โ€™s/Work Instruction as needed.
  • Maintain an organized, clean and safe work environment by following 6S standards.
  • Use and enforce the use of correct P.P.E. per JHAs and Job Description within your area.
  • Properly follow all H&M procedures and policies.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement activities, including the Idea System.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Able to perform essential duties satisfactorily.
  • High School Diploma, Technical School Diploma, or General Education Degree (GED) preferred; Manufacturing experience preferred, though not required.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions. (MOIโ€™s Work Instructions, Quality Bulletins, Job Followers, etc.)
  • Ability to effectively communicate in one-on-one and small group situations with other employees.
  • Ability to do basic math.
  • Ability to lead and participate in small problem solving groups.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to work overtime and Saturdays on an as needed basis.
