Position Summary:
The Water Spider supports manufacturing operations by ensuring production lines remain supplied with the materials, components, and resources needed for efficient production. This role is responsible for material movement, inventory support, and maintaining continuous material flow between the warehouse and production floor to minimize downtime and support production schedules.
Shift: 1st - 7:00am-3:30pm EST
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Deliver raw materials, components, packaging materials, and supplies to production lines.
  • Replenish production workstations to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
  • Remove finished goods, scrap, and excess materials from production areas.
  • Stage materials for upcoming production orders and line changeovers.
  • Coordinate material movement between warehouse and production departments.
  • Monitor material consumption and proactively replenish inventory before shortages occur.
  • Assist with cycle counts, inventory audits, and inventory reconciliation activities.
  • Support inventory accuracy initiatives and maintain accurate material tracking records.
  • Review production schedules and ensure required materials are available prior to production runs.
  • Assist production supervisors and operators with material-related needs.
  • Support production order completion through timely material delivery and inventory updates.
  • Help maintain work-in-process (WIP) inventory accuracy through proper material tracking.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other authorized material handling equipment.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe production and warehouse areas.
  • Ensure proper material handling, storage, FIFO compliance, and lot control requirements.
  • Communicate material shortages, inventory concerns, and production issues to supervisors and team members.
  • Collaborate with Production, Warehouse, Planning, Supply Chain, and Inventory Control personnel.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1–3 years of manufacturing, warehouse, inventory control, or material handling experience preferred.
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification required.
  • Basic computer skills, including inventory systems, data entry, email, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and production demands.
