Responsibilities
  • Help deliver water resources, water supply planning, and reuse projects in Florida
  • Work on water resources studies, water supply feasibility studies, integrated water supply plans, one water plans and programs, conservation plans, and water reuse studies
  • Calculations and analyses of water supplies and demands, conducting alternatives analyses, and documenting results 
  • Application of hydraulic, hydrologic, or hydrogeologic modeling systems to support the planning and design of related infrastructure, such as: pipelines, open channels, pump stations, channel stabilization techniques, rapid infiltration systems, storage and treatment facilities, wellfields, and other natural and manmade systems
  • Hydraulic and hydrologic calculations, report writing, and other activities needed to support the planning, design, and integration of water supply and water management facilities
  • Understanding and application of water supply planning, demand management, alternatives analysis, and feasibility studies for small to large water supply projects of moderate complexity
  • Collaboration with other engineering disciplines, designers, and scientists
  • Some travel may be required
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering
  • 6-12 years of experience in water resources projects
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer
  • Experience with the selection and optimization of multi-benefit water supply projects
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to apply critical thinking to develop options and recommendations to solve technical problems
  • Ability to present to groups and communicate effectively with clients and project team
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in civil or environmental engineering
  • Familiarity with computer applications including ArcGIS and water and sewer hydraulic calculations/modeling software (WaterGEMS, InfoWater, InfoWorks ICM, InfoSWMM, Groundwater Vistas)
Compensation Range

An employee's pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
