WATER TREATMENT INSTALL TECHNICIAN JOB DESCRIPTION

Douglas Water Conditioning is looking to hire a Water Treatment Install Technician to join its team. We are a leader in the water treatment industry with over 50 years of experience specializing in water treatment systems, drinking water systems, bottled water, softener salt, etc., and we are affiliated with Costco. Douglas Water Conditioning has a loyal customer base and we are extremely successful at providing stable careers for our employees and problem free water for our customers.

Reports To

  • Service Manager
  • All Managing Partners

Job Responsibilities

  • Install water treatment equipment, including water softeners, reverse osmosis systems, iron filters, and other water filtration equipment, and deliver accompanying products, such as salt and filters
  • Inventory stock on vehicle monthly
  • Properly evaluate each job work order to determine what parts and materials are needed and load same on vehicle.
  • Know how to establish customer rapport and explain the benefits of new water treatment systems to customer
  • Work alongside customer service and dispatch departments to ensure overall success of the business
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications

  • Must be able to work overtime and rotating Saturdays
  • Aptitude for mechanics
  • Familiarity with hand tools
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written
  • Capacity to analyze a situation and prioritize tasks
  • Exceptional hand-eye coordination
  • Must be able to lift and carry heavy loads up and down stairs
  • Must be able to pass a background check (criminal, driving, etc.)
  • Must have a clean driving record (no DUIs, no DWI, reckless driving, etc.)
  • Must have a neat appearance
  • Chauffer's license a plus

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum two years technical experience in general plumbing repairs and installation required
  • Minimum one year water treatment equipment installation experience preferable

Compensation Status

  • Hourly (Non-Exempt)
  • $25+
