Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Facilities Water Treatment Specialist, to oversee and direct the preventive maintenance program for our facility water treatment systems and infrastructure. This position is responsible for providing operation, monitoring, maintenance, and adjustment of water treatment equipment and systems, including water treatment for chillers, RO (Reverse Osmosis) humidifiers, boiler treatment, water softeners, and deionized (DI) water systems, ensuring water quality and compliance with safety standards.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and maintain chiller treatment, RO humidification systems, water softeners, boiler treatment, and DI systems for optimal performance.
  • Test and record water quality parameters, including hardness, pH, conductivity, and chemical concentrations.
  • Adjust chemical dosages and system settings to maintain specified water quality levels.
  • Conduct regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on water treatment equipment.
  • Troubleshoot system problems and perform corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate logs, records, and documentation for compliance and reporting.
  • Manage inventory of treatment chemicals and supplies.
  • Adhere to safety, environmental, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with facility management regarding system status and maintenance needs.

Basic Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance is required to be considered
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of water treatment systems in commercial, industrial, mission-critical, or facilities environments.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (associate's degree or technical training in water treatment preferred)
  • Experience with water treatment systems, especially chillers, RO, softeners, boilers, and DI systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or technical training in water treatment preferred
  • Certified Water Treatment Operator
  • Chiller water treatment knowledge

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
  • Work in varying environmental conditions (hot, cold, wet, or noisy areas)
