The Team Leader will be responsible for the Kids Zone staff and children in Kids Zone areas, ensuring a safe, healthy environment. The Team Leader will interact positively with parents to develop a trusting relationship.
- 1-2 years’ experience working with children is required.
- A minimum of 18 years of age and minimum 1 year supervision experience is required.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Knowledge of child development.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding personal information on children, family and YMCA staff.
- Maintain current certifications in CPR AED, First Aid, Safety & Risk Management, Child Abuse Prevention and New Employee Orientation or the ability to obtain within 60-90 days of employment.
- Administrative skills including recordkeeping, statistical reporting and ability to complete and maintain Child Watch program paperwork according to department guidelines.
