Hazardous Waste National Sales Executive


Reports to: Chief Growth Officer

Classification: Exempt


Location: Nation wide


Position Summary

The National Hazardous Waste Sales Executive is responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing existing customer relationships, and promoting hazardous waste management, transportation, recycling, and disposal services. This role requires a strong understanding of environmental regulations, waste profiling, and customer compliance needs to provide effective and compliant waste management solutions.


Pay Range: Annual Salary $90k - $130k


Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and secure new hazardous waste service accounts within assigned territories.
  • Maintain and expand relationships with existing customers through regular communication and site visits.
  • Conduct customer assessments to identify hazardous waste management needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Prepare and present proposals, pricing, contracts, and service agreements.
  • Collaborate with operations, transportation, environmental compliance, and customer service teams to ensure successful service delivery.
  • Assist customers with waste characterization, profiling, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Stay current on federal, state, and local environmental regulations, including EPA, DOT, OSHA, and RCRA requirements.
  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, sales activities, and pipeline information within CRM systems.
  • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to generate leads and promote company services.
  • Resolve customer concerns and provide ongoing support to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Chemistry, Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of sales experience, preferably in environmental services, hazardous waste management, industrial services, or related industries.
  • Knowledge of hazardous waste regulations and environmental compliance requirements.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain long-term customer relationships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel within assigned territory.
