Position Summary
Assists customers at the counter, retrieves prescriptions, rings up orders. Assists Pharmacist with processing, pricing and selling prescriptions to customers. Orders and stocks drugs, supplies, and over-the-counter merchandise. Assists with stocking and straightening of merchandise for sale in the pharmacy area of the warehouse. Provides a high level of member service.
Job Duties
  • Greets and assists customers at the counter, receives written prescriptions for Pharmacists, and retrieves filled prescriptions. Rings up orders. Receives payment, makes change, processes checks, credit and debit charges. Provides prompt and courteous customer service. Answers phones, directs customers to product location. Preserves customer confidentiality.
  • Counts pills for prescriptions, organizes and stores filled prescriptions, restocks unneeded items.
  • Orders and stocks special over-the-counter items which are kept behind the counter in the Pharmacy Department. Marks product number on unmarked items using a marking gun.
  • Orders, receives, tags, and stocks prescription drugs and supplies (those allowable under state law). Follows product storage procedures and standards.
  • Cleans department by sweeping, mopping, spraying, wiping, and dusting. Empties trash and operates a trash compactor and cardboard baler. Follows safety and security procedures, including immunization and hazardous waste disposal, and securing department at end of the day. Secures storage and disposes of confidential paperwork.
  • Assists with stocking duties as directed by management.
  • Ensures proper cleanup and disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery.
  • Assists with department duties as necessary.
  • Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary.
