Open Position: Career Technical Classroom Assistant Main Campus
Location: Warren County Career Center- Main Campus
General Job Description:
A Career Technical Laboratory Assistant assists in guiding and directing students in the career technical laboratory or classroom, performing duties directly related to their field of expertise.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's Degree in related area preferred
  • Holds credential for designated career-technical laboratory (preferred)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and technology skills
  • Hold a valid Ohio Educator's licensure or permit (or be willing to obtain)
  • Must pass a criminal background check
  • Hold a valid Ohio Driver's License

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Provide Direct Student Support
  • Assist small groups of students in career technical laboratory/related classroom
  • Assist with preparation of instructional materials and processes for laboratory activities
  • Assist with keeping student attendance and performance records
  • Assist with maintaining inventory of instructional materials and equipment and perform minor maintenance of equipment
  • Attend field trips related to the assigned career-technical laboratory setting
  • Assist with program orientation for new students
  • Ensures uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
  • Ability to administer basic first aid
  • Notify teacher if student is not meeting classroom goals
  • Other duties as assigned

Salary: Starting: $18.10/hr based on experience
