The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Returns Authorization Manager to join our team in the consumer electronics industry. This role is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end returns authorization process, ensuring all return requests are managed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with company policies and industry standards.
The Returns Authorization Manager will work closely with key retail partners, including LG product dealers such as Home Depot and Costco, as well as internal teams across Customer Service, Logistics, Quality and Finance to streamline operations and enhance the overall customer experience.
This position plays a critical role in optimizing returns workflows, reducing processing times, and controlling associated costs. The ideal candidate will analyze return trends, track and report on key performance metrics, and recommend process improvements to reduce product defects and improve overall product quality.
The successful candidate will bring strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment. Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage the end-to-end returns authorization process, ensuring timely resolution and a high level of service within the consumer electronics sector.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve policies and procedures to ensure efficient and accurate processing of product returns.
  • Partner with Customer Service, Logistics, Quality Assurance, and Finance teams to ensure seamless and compliant returns operations.
  • Analyze return data to identify trends, recurring issues, and root causes; recommend and implement corrective actions to reduce return rates.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, warranty terms, and applicable industry regulations related to returns and exchanges.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on returns performance metrics, cost impact, and process effectiveness to senior leadership.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the returns team, promoting a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to address product defects, manage warranty claims, and drive resolution of quality-related issues.

Education / Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in returns management, logistics, or supply chain operations within the consumer electronics industry.
  • Strong understanding of returns authorization processes, warranty policies, and consumer electronics products.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management experience, with the ability to drive performance and motivate staff.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and experience with ERP, CRM, or other relevant business systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners.
  • Highly detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
