SPA has an immediate need for a Space Wargaming and Operations Analyst.
Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly qualified Wargaming and Space Operations Analyst to support Space Force operational planning, wargaming, experimentation, and strategic analysis. The successful candidate will provide critical expertise in the design, development, and execution of wargaming data collection and analysis plans (DCAP) that address complex space operations challenges in support of national defense objectives.
Key duties associated with this role include but are not limited to the following:
  • Spearhead the analysis of Space Force future concepts through wargaming and simulation to inform future force design, concept evaluation and capability development.
  • Lead analysis of analytical, experiential, and educational space-focused wargames for the Space Force and joint/coalition partners.
  • Develop the data collection and analysis plan (DCAP) for wargames.
  • Lead Final Report development utilizing data captured from the execution of the DCAP in wargames and present findings to customer(s) and Sponsor.
  • Engage with Space Force organizations on current and future tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPS) and capabilities to determine data analysis requirements on the Space Order of Battle for wargame execution.
  • Analyze wargame scenarios integrating multiple space weapon systems to evaluate warfighting concepts, force postures, and strategic deterrence options.
  • Provide expert input on space campaign planning, targeting, and operational risk assessment.
  • Collaborate across the Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community (IC), and allied partners to ensure wargaming efforts align with current and future space strategies, doctrine, and concepts.
  • Provide expert analysis aimed at evaluating new operational concepts, identifying vulnerabilities, and exploring innovative solutions to operational challenges.
  • Mentor and train space professionals in wargaming analysis methodologies and operational art.

Ability to report to designated work location at Patrick Space Force Base in Cape Canaveral, FL, up to full time, based on the needs of the customer
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 10 years collective experience in space operations, wargaming, operational planning, or operational analysis
  • Direct experience designing, planning, executing, and analyzing military wargames or large-scale exercises
  • Experience applying military planning processes (MDMP, JPP, or equivalent) in operational or wargaming environments
  • Experience developing analytical frameworks, data collection plans, and assessment methodologies
  • Strong operational experience in space mission areas such as orbital warfare, space electronic warfare, satellite command and control, or missile warning
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to brief analytical findings and recommendations to senior military and civilian leaders
  • Ability to report to designated work location at Patrick Space Force Base, up to full time, based on the needs of the customer

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Space Studies, National Security, Military Operations Analysis, Data Analysis, or related field
  • Previous experience participating or supporting multiple Space Force (Schriever Wargame), other Military Branches (Global Engagement, Navy Global), or Joint Staff (Globally Integrated Wargame) data analysis during wargames
  • Experience with modeling and simulation tools supporting wargaming analysis
